Man Hacks Neighbour's Children To Death In Benin Over Long-Standing Quarrel
A middle-aged man, simply identified as Mike, has reportedly butchered four children of his neighbour in Okha II community in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area of Edo State, southsouth Nigeria.

It was alleged that on Wednesday, Mike hacked two of the children, Favour Oliver (3 years old) and Destiny Oliver (nine months) to death with a machete.

Not satisfied, Mike was said to have attacked two other children of the family, Gift, 7, and Goodness, 5, severing their nose and wrist respectively before fleeing the scene of the alleged crime.

The assailant, who lives in the same building with the Oliver family, was said to have had a long-standing quarrel with his neighbours before the incident.

The father of the children, who hails from Enugu State in eastern Nigeria, was said to have been away from home when the incident occurred, while his wife, Chinyere, reportedly fled for her life during the attack.

Medical doctors at the Accident and Emergency Ward of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), where Gift and Goodness were later rushed for medical attention, described their condition as "stable but critical."
