Chris Brown -- Surprise, I'm a Father!
EXCLUSIVE
0303_chris_brown_w_baby 2Chris Brown is the proud father of a 9-month-old baby girl ... TMZ has learned.
The baby's mother is a 31-year-old former model named Nia -- who we're told has known Chris for several years.
Sources connected to both Nia and Chris tell us they are on very good terms -- however they're not together romantically. We're told 25-year-old Chris is happy about being a father.
It does not appear there is a formal child support order in place -- and we do not know the nature of any informal terms of support.
One thing's for sure ... baby girl looks a lot like Daddy.

NSA Whistle-Blower Edward Snowden Wants To Return Return Home

Reuters: Fugitive ex-NSA contractor Snowden seeks to come home: lawyer

(Reuters) - A Russian lawyer for Edward Snowden said on Tuesday the fugitive former U.S. spy agency contractor who leaked details of the government's mass surveillance programs was working with American and German lawyers to return home.

In Washington, U.S. officials said they would welcome Snowden's return to the United States but he would have to face criminal charges which have been filed against him.

Snowden's lawyer, Anatoly Kucherena, who has links to the Kremlin, was speaking at a news conference to present a book he has written about his client. Moscow granted Snowden asylum in 2013, straining already tense ties with Washington.

WNU Editor: When it became clear to everyone that Edward Snowden was going to stay in Russia over a year ago, I said in this blog that I did not envy him .... because I knew that he would miss his home country. Regular readers of this blog know that my nationality is Russian, but I am now a Canadian citizen living in Canada. Whenever I feel "homesick" or I miss the old country .... it is very easy for me to just arrange a flight .... and in a few days find myself in Moscow having a meal at my favorite restaurant. Edward Snowden does not have that luxury .... and I doubt that he will have it for a very long time ... if not forever. If he should decide to go back to the U.S. .... what will happen to him is easy to predict. A trial, a conviction, and about 20 years in a federal penitentiary. Is 20 years in jail worth not having a meal at your favorite restaurant .... I guess it all depends on the person.

Update: Apparently the story has being overblown by Moscow .... Reports Snowden Is in Talks to Return Home Are "Much Ado About Nothing,"

Says U.S. Lawyer

Giants' Steve Weatherford -- NFL Rookies Are Powerless ... In Locker Room Music War
Looks like Jamies Winston and Marcus Mariota, better invest in a good pair of headphones ...
That's 'cause Giants punter Steve Weatherford tells TMZ Sports they'll need them in the locker room, where NFL rookies have absolutely NO SAY in what music bumps.
Weatherford was out in NYC (looking impeccable as always) when we asked him about the sonic dynamic of an NFL locker room ... basically what gets played and by who.
Check out the clip -- Steve says NOTHING gets played by the young guys. He goes on to say that if you want some jam time in the locker room you better have major time logged in the league.
He also let it slip that he loves to listen to Taylor Swift ... we heard that Steve.

Bad Boy! FCT Minister’ss Nephew Kidnaps Brother, Demands N10m Ransom

Bad Boy! FCT Minister's Nephew Kidnaps Brother, Demands N10m Ransom
From Punch

The Police in Bauchi State have arrested one Salisu Salmanu, who claimed to be a nephew of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Mohammed, for kidnapping.

The police said Salmanu connived with his friends to kidnap his three-year-old younger brother at Kofar Idi in Bauchi and demanded a ransom of N10m from his father.

Salmanu, 19, was arrested with three of his friends, namely; Imrana Abdullahi, 17, Abdullahi Mohammed, 19, and Umar Musa, 19, all residents of the Kofar Idi area of the Bauchi metropolis.

The spokesman for the Bauchi State Police Command, DSP Haruna Mohammed, said the police detectives attached to Township division on February 28, 2015, at about 12pm, arrested the four suspects, who connived with four others still at large to commit the crime.

He said, "The suspects conspired with four others, now at large, to kidnap one Abdulkadir Salmanu, male and three years old of Kofar Idi, took him to Gwallameji and demanded 10m ransom from the parents.

"The victim was liberated by the police and efforts are ongoing to apprehend the other fleeing suspects after which they will be charged to court."

Salmanu told PUNCH Metro that they intended buying a car with the money and also spend the remaining money the way they deemed fit had they succeeded in getting the N10m.

It was gathered that the suspect's father, Salmanu Mohammed, is the elder brother to the FCT Minister.

Salmanu said, "When we planned the kidnap, we agreed that if we succeeded in getting the N10m, we should buy a car.

We also agreed that the rest of the money should be left for spending as individual deemed fit."

"Honestly, my father meets all my needs. He pays my school fees and every other thing I need.

"It is just greed and selfishness which the devil put in our hearts."

Salmanu said he was a student of a federal polytechnic, adding that he had missed tests and lectures because he was in police custody.

He added that he would love to go back to school, finish his studies and put the incident behind him as what could be called mistakes of the youth.

The 19-year-old mastermind said he prayed that God would expose others who were into such "dirty act".

He said, "By God's grace, our hearts have totally changed since this is our first time of doing this, and we pray that God prevent a future recurrence."

Another suspect, Mohammed, said they had no intention of harming the boy.

"We took the child, not with the intention of harming him, but so we could get money from his father and release him.

"We demanded N10m, but the father said he would pay N3m and we insisted it was too small. We finally agreed that he should pay N5m.

"Honestly, if we had succeeded, we would not have returned the money, but this would have been our first and last operation," he said.

David Usborne, The Independent: Benjamin Netanyahu's nuclear war of words provokes Washington fall out

Iran will be 'guaranteed lots of nuclear weapons' under Obama's arms enforcement deal, the Israeli Prime Minister told the US Congress

An unbridled Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minster of Israel, last night accused the United States and its allies, including Britain, of pursuing an arms enforcement deal with Iran so weak that it would all but ensure that it acquires nuclear weapons, catapulting the world into a "nuclear nightmare".

"That deal would not prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, it would guarantee it – lots of them," Mr Netanyahu said in a highly anticipated speech to a joint meeting of Congress that sounded like the diplomatic equivalent of a blunderbuss being fired at the nation that has sponsored Israel's survival.

Honey Boo Boo -- Family Calls BS on TLC Ultimatum ... You Breached Our Deal!
EXCLUSIVE
0226-honey-boo-boo-tlc2
Honey Boo Boo and the brood are laughing off TLC's legal threats ... because they say their contract was breached by the network -- and they have no obligation to fulfill their old deal.
Sources close to Mama June and co. tell us the family claims their health insurance hasn't been paid since November -- which was part of their contract -- so they no longer believe they should answer to TLC.
But our network sources claim the deal only required TLC to pay through 2014 -- which it says was covered in full. For extra generosity, the network claims it agreed to pay for family's insurance this year too, up until May -- and we're told THAT is June's beef.

We're told TLC intends to make the payment ... it just hasn't yet.
As we previously reported ... TLC sent the family an ultimatum saying they can't work for another entertainment company until their contract runs its course at the end of May.
The Honey Boo Boo clan says because they haven't gotten the money, they believe they're free to play let's make a deal all over Hollywood.

Reuters: North Korea warns U.S. about pre-emptive strike 'if necessary'

(Reuters) - North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Su Yong said on Tuesday that his country had the power to deter an "ever-increasing nuclear threat" by the United States with a pre-emptive strike if necessary.

His rare speech at the U.N.-backed Conference on Disarmament drew a rebuke from U.S. Ambassador Robert Wood, who urged Pyongyang to stop making threats and rid itself of nuclear weapons.

Ri said joint military exercises currently being staged by South Korea and the United States were "unprecedentedly provocative in nature and have an especially high possibility of sparking off a war."

Sidney Rice vs. Rick Ross doesn't seem like a fair fight (though Rozay has dropped some weight lately), but the NFL receiver says he could take the rap mogul ... when it comes to inhaling wings.
Seems Rice and Ross both share a love for everyone's favorite bar food, since both have invested heavily in Wingstop franchises. Ross owns a bunch in the southeast, while Rice currently has 2 in the Seattle area ... with 5 more set to open.
Rice -- who's getting his MBA back at the U. -- says biz is good ... as long as she doesn't eat the profits. He told our photog he can put down 30 wings on a good day, and might even take Ross in a contest.
But watch ... he does have a weakness. Pay attention, Rick.

Korede Bello: Mavin singer r says he isn't an upcoming artiste

From: <Joey Akan>

Korede Bello: Mavin singer says he isn't an upcoming artiste
Korede Bello has revealed he is against the branding of young aspiring musicians, 'upcoming artists'.
The Mavin Records singer and guitarist was signed to Don Jazzy last year, and has quickly risen to become a pop favourite due to his cute looks and captivating voice.
Korede who once was tagged 'upcoming', has seen that change, with a popular record and features propelling him to massive popularity.
Korede talked to The Nation, emphasising on his dislike for that term which is popularly used to qualify performers who are yet to break even.
"When somebody goes to school and is in primary one, will you call the person upcoming student?" Korede asked. "Or when you just get a job in the bank will you be called an upcoming banker?
Korede further says that what really matters is how an artiste views himself. The 18-year old declares he's a superstar, and that's all that makes sense for him.
"But for me I will say people are entitled to whatever title they choose to give artistes, but it depends on the artiste; 'how you see yourself.' I see myself as a musician, I see myself as a mega super star and that is all that matters."
On a parting note, Korede further advises other artistes to look past the tag, reject it, and concentrate on making good music.
"I will advise artistes not to go along with that upcoming title because you might just remain upcoming forever. So you had better see yourself as a musician and a servant to humanity. Is there upcoming pastor? If there is none, why upcoming artiste?"
