It is no more news that Nollywood diva and producer, Ini Edo's marriage to her US-based husband, Philip Ehiagwina, has crashed. The marriage was said to have crashed a few weeks ago, but the couple decided to keep the news away from the public.

While the marriage lasted, there were reports that Ini Edo was not enjoying her marriage mainly because her husband did not reside in Nigeria.

The stress of going over to the US to check on her ex-husband was said to have contributed largely to the eventual break up the marriage suffered.

Ini Edo, in an interview sometime ago, managed to keep her marital problems away from the media and preying eyes, but apparently she could not continue to deny that things had gone bad with her marriage when news filtered into town that she had concluded plans to break up with his husband after marrying for five years.

Since the news of the crashed marriage surfaced on major social media platforms during the week, there have been accusations and counter accusations from Ini Edo and her husband, with one accusing another of infidelity and distrust.

The confirmation of the break up was rife during the week when Ini Edo decided to remove her husband's name from her social media accounts and also removed wife from her bio on Instagram.

"A close friend of the actress squealed that the marriage broke down due to very strong allegations of 'serial cheating with evidence' but that the couple who are pretending to still be in talking terms might cite irreconcilable differences".

(Reuters) - Islamic State militants raised their flag on a building on the eastern outskirts of the Syrian border town of Kobani on Monday after an assault of almost three weeks, but the town's Kurdish defenders said they had not reached the city centre.

A black flag belonging to Islamic State was visible from across the Turkish border atop a four-storey building close to the scene of some of the most intense clashes in recent days.

Local sources inside Kobani confirmed the group had planted its flag but said that Kurdish forces had repelled their advances so far.

We are coming to terms with the illegal arms deal busted by the South African government involving Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor's jet in which 9.3million dollars was siezed. Now South African authorities have confiscated yet another US$5.7 million arms money from Nigeria, South Africa-based City Express reported Monday.

As with the first deal, South Africa's Asset Forfeiture Unit of the National Prosecuting Authority seized the $5.7 million (about N952 million) for allegedly being the proceeds of illegal transactions, the paper said.

The news came more than two weeks after two Nigerians and an Israeli national were arrested in South Africa after they attempted to smuggle US$9.3 million apparently meant for buying arms for the Nigerian intelligence service.

The men landed at Lanseria International Airport, Johannesburg, on September 5 in a private jet from Abuja with the money stashed in three suitcases.

At the time, the South Africa Revenue Service, SARS, said customs officers became suspicious when the passengers' luggage were unloaded and put through the scanners.
The National Prosecuting Authority, NPA, in South Africa said there was an invoice for helicopters and armaments intended to be used in Nigeria.

The news of the first transaction sparked anger in Nigeria after it emerged the private jet involved belonged to the head of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Ayo Ortisejafor.

Mr. Oritsejafor, a close ally of President Goodluck Jonathan, said the plane had been leased to a third party and he could not be blamed for its schedules. The Nigerian government later admitted it was behind the arms deal, claiming it acted out of desperation for arms to defeat extremist sect, Boko Haram.

An investigation planned by the Senate into the transaction has yet to begin while the House of Representatives threw out a motion seeking a probe.

The South African newspaper, City Press, said documents in its possession show that the first consignment was personally signed off by the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, who issued the end-user certificate for the transaction.

An entire "shopping list" was supplied with the certificate, which included everything from helicopters to unmanned aircraft, rockets and ammunition, it said.

The latest transaction, according to the paper, was between Cerberus Risk Solutions, an arms broker in Cape Town, and Societe D'Equipments Internationaux, said to be a Nigerian company based in Abuja.

The paper said the deal fell apart after Cerberus which had earlier received from Nigeria R60 million (N1.02 billion) in its account at Standard Bank, tried to repay the money as it it could not resolve its registration formalities with the South African authorities.

"Cerberus was previously registered as a broker with the National Conventional Arms Control Committee (NCACC), but the registration expired in May this year," City Press said.
"The marketing and contracting permits also expired at the same time. The company has since applied for re-registration, but the application lay in the NCACC's mailbox for more than two months.
"Sources told Rapport that Cerberus apparently tried to pay the money back to the Nigerian company, after which the bank became suspicious," the paper reported.

The paper added that while the NPA's Asset Forfeiture Unit subsequently obtained a court order in the South Gauteng High Court to seize the money, the NPA spokesperson Nathi Mncube, said there were no indications the two transactions were related.

"However, both are now the subject of a criminal investigation and all possible information and connections are being investigated," Mr. Mncube was quoted as saying.

Did you envisage that you were going to be married to a Pastor as a Pastor's daughter?
No, no, no! Marrying a Pastor was the last thing in my mind. Because my Dad is a Pastor and as a Pastor's daughter, I dreaded marrying a Pastor. My Dad has 2 brothers that are Pastors also but of different denominations. I never really wanted to marry a Pastor but God knows the plans He has for our lives.

So, how is being married to Pastor Matthew like?
First and foremost, I thank God that I never listened to the Unilag lecturer who warned me against marrying Pastor Matthew otherwise I would have been probably in a one corner room here in Lagos. But see how my life has turned out to be traveling all over the world to preach and minister. The lecturer never saw any future in Pastor Matthew as a Pastor but the lecturer is late now.
I didn't know that marrying Pastor Matthew will end this way even I didn't want to preach when I married him, I just wanted to be a full house wife but he was the one who really discovered me, and saw the beauty of God in my life. So, he mentored me to be what I am today. And I never knew that KICC would be a big church that it is today.

How did it all happen between you?
Okay! I can still remember vividly, it was January 1980, when Pastor Matthew came to my Dad's church to assist him as an Assistant Pastor. He just came out of Bible School as a fresh graduate then and he was immediately posted to Foursquare Bible Church as an Assistant Pastor to my father even though he had CAC background. And I saw this young vibrant man who was posted to my Dad's branch. I remember, we were having a serious challenge at that time and we were worshipping outside because our properties were been thrown outside by our landlord over land problem in my area at that time.
It was at this period of time that this young and fresh man (Pastor Matthew) came. This man was so committed and the way he was serving God swept me off my heels. Then I told God that God, if only you can give me a man like this young and vibrant man that is newly posted to work with my Dad for a husband but must not be a Pastor, then I will forever be grateful to you. It was his commitment to the Lord that attracted me to him. This young man was so committed to the things of God.

Was it love at first sight?
Not really because he was a Pastor and I didn't want to marry a Pastor but I was only attracted to him when I saw him. I must also confess, marrying Pastor Matthew is the best thing that has happened to me. But you know, as a Pastor's daughter and having 2 Uncles as Pastors, I wasn't interested in another Pastor again. But I thank God I married one now.

What has been the challenge(s) so far?
Definitely in life there will be challenges. But you need the grace of God to deal with them. And in the ministry, you have to meet and deal with different kinds of people and all of these takes the grace of God.

Marriage-wise?
Every marriage has its ups and downs and every marriage goes through challenges and as I said earlier, it only takes the grace of God.

Six years after being paralysed from the hips down in a car accident, Gina Giaffoglione, 27, was able to fulfill her dream of walking down the aisle.  Since her accident, Gina has had to use a wheelchair to move around each day but she stunned guests on her wedding day.

After her fiance John Springhower proposed in 2012, 27 year old Gina set her mind on a seemingly impossible goal…walking down the aisle.

Her fiance, her dad Gary and close family knew about the plan but all the other guests were in for a major surprise

"I told her, 'Whether we roll down that aisle or whether we walk down that aisle, we're going to do this.' It's been her dream. Obviously it's a dad's dream of having the honour of walking your daughter down the aisle," her dad Gary Giaffoglione told KETV. 
It took months of training at a rehabilitation centre to teach her body to stand tall again. It took months more for her to learn to walk using a custom-designed brace.

Giaffoglione remains positive and focused despite being in a constant state of discomfort: "My legs feel like when your foot wakes up from being asleep. It feels like that 24/7."

Gina went through months of physical therapy at CHI Health Rehabilitation Center at Immanuel Hospital to make this wish come true, and managed to keep her progress a secret the entire time.

After a year and a half, Gina learned to straighten her body and walk with a brace and crutch. Prosthetics specialists with the Hanger Clinic then redesigned the bride's bulky leg brace, so she could covertly hide it under her wedding gown.

On their wedding day, tears flowed as everyone watched the bride walk down the aisle hand-in-hand with her dad and then say her vows to her husband, standing up.
