World War II Enthusiast Spends Six Months Getting His Back Tattooed

#1 A WWII Tattoo

Jason Roff, from Bournemouth, Dorset UK, had the WWII design done as his first ever tattoo, and it took three-hour sessions over a six months period to complete.

#2 Britian's Battle of Villers-Bocage

The tat features Tiger tanks, fighter planes and faces of RAF and Nazi war heroes who played key roles in WWII clashes throughout Europe.

#3 A Tattoo Award

The elaborate design won an award at a tattoo convention on Remembrance Day, which is the second Sunday in November, to traditionally remember all those who have given their lives for peace during WWII.

#4 A WWII Enthusiast

The 29-year-old said, "I love researching Second World War battles and have a fair few bits of memorabilia. I've also been to Normandy to visit the graves so the whole thing means a lot to me."

Gunman kills five in restaurant in Mali today

A masked gunman opened fire on a restaurant in Bamako, the capital of Mali very early this morning, killing five people. Two Europeans - a Frenchman and a Belgian - and three Malians.
The gunman stormed La Terrasse restaurant, which was filled with UN workers, Europeans and Malians and fired indiscriminately, killing five. Two people have been arrested in connection with the attack.

"This was a terrorist attack. It's absolutely clear," said the security official, an army officer who requested anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly. The attack took place in Hippodrome, a neighborhood of the capital that contains a number of bars and restaurants frequented by foreigners.
From one moment to the next, a festive Friday night at La Terrasse, crowded with United Nations workers and other Europeans, turned into a pandemonium of bullets, blood, and fear, witnesses said. A lone gunman burst into the restaurant, witnesses said, and began firing at tables where Europeans were seated, at point-blank range.
"We were laughing, talking. Suddenly these people came inside," said a Swedish health worker, Reidun Runften, who had been dancing at the bar. "It was boom, boom, boom," she said. "I was very close to the bar, and we just went under there. We didn't move because they were shooting a lot," she said.

When she looked up, a young Malian woman — the girlfriend of a European sitting next to her — was lying on the floor, blood coming from her neck, said Ms. Runften.

and mineral resources.
Just like T.A Orji came from the prison to
become governor.
He was foisted on Abians by his erstwhile
benefactor,Orji Uzor Kalu.
With his fear of not returning to prison, he
jumped ship to PDP from PPA to save his neck.
Just as his former political godfather brought
him, he is determined that Ikpeazu must govern
Abia state.
But Abians have risen.
A state that cries for development from the
outset.

A state T.A Orji pocketed for almost eight years
of his administration without projects to show.
Accepting Ikpeazu as governor from T.A Orji is
like eating with the devil with bare hands
without even a spoon.
Abians are not fools.
Was T. AOrji actually a mistake?
Just as Lucky Dube in one of his albums
said,"how long shall we kill our prophets; while
we stand aside and watch."
How long shall Abians wait for development?
A vote for Ikpeazu is a vote for
underdevelopment.
Its a vote for the return of T.A Orji's 2007-2015
reign.
Never again should Akwa Ibomites and Abians
look on.
This world is a stage.
Why is Akpabio and Orji refusing to bow out
honourably?
Why do these men feel they should determine
who succeeds them instead of the people
deciding?
Enough of this impunity and imposition.
Until Nigerians rise to defend their destinies, we
may still find ourselves on the cross roads of
stooges being left for us in government.
The time to act is here.

Russia, Germany, Ukraine agree to double OSCE monitors

Moscow and Berlin have asked the OSCE to double the number of its monitors in eastern Ukraine to 1,000. But the organization's head said the number of observers isn't his largest concern for peace in the region.

The German and Russian foreign ministers, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Sergey Lavrov, urged theOrganization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to increase its number of observers in Ukraine's conflict-ridden east.

"The ministers called on the OSCE Permanent Council to make a quick decision on extending the mandate of its special monitoring mission, ramping up its size to 1,000 observers and assigning it additional technical and financial resources," the Russian ministry said in a statement after Lavrov and Steinmeier spoke on the phone.

The two ministers also acknowledged "progress on issues of observing the truce and withdrawal of heavy weapons by Ukrainian troops and Donetsk and Luhansk rebels," the statement added.

Around 450 monitors have currently been deployed in eastern Ukraine to monitor the ceasefire after Kyiv and the pro-Russian separatists, along with Germany, Russia and France, hammered out a peace deal last month in Belarus' capital, Minsk. The ceasefire officially came into effect on February 15, butproved fragile with rebels and Kyiv indulging in skirmishes over border controls and withdrawal of heavy weapons.

More access for truce monitors

Ukraine also agreed to an increase in the number of OSCE observers following a discussion among officials from France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine in Berlin, the German foreign minister said on Friday.

Zannier: bargaining for more access

Also on Friday, OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier said his officials were still being denied full access to monitor the truce.

"There are areas we simply can't reach," Zannier told the AFP news agency in Riga, where he was participating at an EU foreign ministers meeting.

The OSCE mission had earlier reported that its capabilities were limited due to "lack of information on whereabouts of landmines and restrictions imposed by third parties."

Earlier this week, leaders of France, Germany, Russia and Ukraine agreed to send OSCE observers to flashpoints in eastern Ukraine where the ceasefire between the rebels and Kyiv was being violated. These included the Donetsk airport area, which was seized by pro-Russian separatists in January.

The Ukraine conflict, which began with the Russian annexation of Crimea last year, has killed more than 6,000 people.

Pregnant Woman Pours Hot Water on Man Peeping at Her Whilst She Bathed

In Enugu, a certain pregnant woman, is in police net for allegedly pouring hot water on her neighbour, who was accused of peeping on her while having her bath.

The suspect, Mrs Mercy Chintua, who resides in a face-me-i-face-you apartment with her husband at Akwuke, Awkunanaw in Enugu State, was arrested after she reportedly poured hot water on her neighbour, one Emmanuel Anyebe.

The ugly drama started when Anyebe was about to take his bath and Chintuaengrossed with anger and retaliation splashed the hot water on him.

Consequently, the victim sustained severe injuries as a result of the incident and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.

Recalling how it all happened, Chintuasaid on that fateful day, as she was taking her bath, Anyebe spied on her while trying to gain access to the bathroom, and in the process, saw her nakedness.

Chintuasaid she was angered at the invasion of her privacy, so, she grabbed a pot of already boiled hot water and poured its content on Anyebe.

Anyebe reportedly lost consciousness as a result of the excruciating pain and was rushed to a nearly hospital for treatment.

In a swift reaction to the accusations against him, Anyebe who is still groaning in severe pains as a result of his neighbour's action denied peeping on the woman.

According to him, he wanted to enter the bathroom to take his bath, only to be stopped by Chintua, who insisted on taking her bath first.

Anyebe said he simply left after Chintuaquickly went into the bathroom to take her bath before he could do same.

He added that he went to the woman's husband to complain about the development, after which he proceeded to go back to the bathroom to have his bath after Chintuahad finished taking her bath.

The victim explained further that it was while he was taking his bath that Chintuapoured the hot water on him.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu, who disclosed the development in a statement, said Chintuahas blamed her action on the devil.
