Lol. Two elderly women refuse to move back for each other...close a road

I find this so hilarious because I have done this before. Many many years back...lol. So according to twitter user @IAmB_C, while leaving church today, two elderly women who wouldn't move back for each other on a narrow road, left their cars and walked away at Ugbor road in Benin. One of the women also allegedly took a cab and went away. Lol. It's not funny behaviour sha! See another pic after the cut..

Nothing has been confirmed and hopefully it's not even true but according to rumours, the two were quite cosy at the backstage of her Fashion for Relief charity show at the New York Fashion Week event yesterday Feb. 14th. They were later photographed holding hands as they left the backstage. This doesn't mean that they are dating or smashing but you know how in Hollywood everyone sleeps with everyone, well..people are now wondering. Hopefully, there's nothing going on here. Press statement from the office of the Ekiti state government below...

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has described former President Olusegun Obasanjo as the number one enemy of Nigeria, saying; "he is a confusionist who has lost his status as a statesman and Nigerians should simply ignore him."

The governor, who expressed confidence that President Goodluck Jonathan will be reelected to complete his eight years term, added that; "Obasanjo is only fighting President Jonathan because he prevented him (Obasanjo) from ruling Nigeria from his Ota Farm."

In a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said "Obasanjo is a cancer that may never get cured in a lifetime.

"The moment Obasanjo is not the one controlling a house, he will want the house pulled down but this time around, he has failed."

The governor said; "Obasanjo has always benefitted from the misfortune of others and he is living with the impression that he is the wisest person in the whole world.

"When Murtala Mohammed was murdered in 1976, Obasanjo was the beneficiary.

"In 1993, he said the acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election, late Chief MKO Abiola was not the Messiah Nigeria needed. Instead of Obasanjo to join the clamour for the actualisation of Abiola's mandate, Obasanjo was canvassing for an Interim National Government, which he schemed to head.

"MKO Abiola died in detention in 1997 and Obasanjo became the beneficiary of his (Abiola) death.

"Despite the fact that it was the blood of MKO Abiola that Obasanjo matched on to power, not even a street was named after Abiola throughout Obasanjo's eight years as president.

"Today, Obasanjo is fighting President Jonathan, the man who has done what he failed to do for Abiola, the Yoruba people and Nigerians as a whole when he was president for eight years, simply because he does not want anyone to equal his record as Nigeria's longest serving president.

Man kills his neighbor over generator ffumes in Lagos

Man kills his neighbor over generator fumes in Lagos Ibrahim Tijani, a 29 year old bricklayer is currently being detained at the Ogombo police station in the Okun Ajah area of Lagos state for killing his 57 year old neighbor, Bashorun Okanla during an argument that ensued over fumes emanating from his generator.

According to Punch, the men reside at an uncompleted building in the Okun Ajah. Ogombo area of Lagos state. On the day of the unfortunate incident, Bashorun Okanla had approached Tijani and told him that the fumes coming out of his generator was disturbing him. An argument ensued and one person ended up dying.

The two men got into a fist fight and before anyone could stop it, Tijani went into his house, got a cutlass and attacked Bashorun with it. The cut him on the head and hand. Bashorun was rushed to the hospital where he died.

Tijani then immediately reported himself to the Ogombo police station where he told them what happened

"On Sunday, I turned on my generator and when Baba Ade (Okanla) asked me to turn it off, I refused. Then he used a stick to hit me and we started fighting. A neighbour came and separated us and asked me to sit down beside him. But Baba Ade still went and destroyed my generator. I became angry and went inside my house and picked my cutlass. I used it on him".

Confirming the incident, the Lagos state Police Public Relations Officer, Nwosu Kenneth said further investigation on the matter was ongoing.

Intelligence officials estimate that the group's fighters number 20,000 to 31,500 in Syria and Iraq.
