Can these rants please stop = ) ) . It was bending that customers first complained of now it is that their new iPhone 6 users have said when they make a phone call it rips out their hair.

The new controversy, branded by social media users as 'hairgate', follows allegations people are getting their beard or head hair 'snagged' when the phone is held against their face .They claim that the seam between the aluminium and glass screen is catching hairs and tearing them out. 'Ponmo' Is Dangerous To Health- Official

Mr Isuwa Adamu, the Director-General, Nigerian Institute of Leather Science and Technology (NILEST), Zaria today warned against the consumption of animal hides and skin locally known as ponmo. According to him, ponmo is dangerous to health because it has no nutritional value and it has been proven scientifically.

"In fact, it is not advisable for you to consume ponmo in the sense that some of the animals killed and used for ponmo actually have skin diseases.

"Some of the animals because of the ailments that they have gone through, are sometimes treated by way of injection with chemicals.

"People don't allow these chemicals to complete its cycle and be removed from the body; they sometimes go ahead to kill these animals.

"So, if you consume the ponmo, the tendency is that you are consuming the chemicals directly because the skin part of the animal retains most of the harmful substances.

"Remember your skin is the major protective organ of your body and your skin harbours so many of the harmful things that are supposed to penetrate into your body.

The skin of animals' harbours so many of harmful waste materials that the body secretes and boiling only cannot remove some of those wastes, he added.

He noted that the institute is presently putting up efforts to sensitise the public and advice governments on policies that will help to reduce the consumption of animal skin to the barest minimum.

According to him, ponmo consumption is a national and traditional issue that just putting up laws may not really help to stop it. He advised the government to come up with policies that could be enforced to reduce the consumption of hides and skin as meat substitute. And this would also enhance the quality and quantity of raw hides and skin that are available to meet the demands of the tanneries.

Victory ! 400 Boko Haram insurgents killed in battle to retake Bazza, Michika, Madagali

Heavy fighting between Nigerian troops and Boko Haram terrorists ensued yesterday in Adamawa State as soldiers backed from the air by Nigerian Airforce attack helicopters launched an attack to retake territories in the possession of Boko Haram.

Adamawa-bokoIn the ensuing battle that continued into the night, Vanguard gathered that about 400 Boko Haram terrorist had been killed while there were casualties on the part of the Nigerian soldiers.

"I can assure you that we are advancing successfully. We have dealt a heavy blow on the terrorists. They didn't expect what they are seeing. Our armoured tanks are blasting and they are running for their lives. The airforce is providing air cover and hitting them also.I cannot give you a categorical answer regarding casualties but so far about 400 of the terrorists have been killed. We have casualties among our soldiers also but the propaganda circulating that 70 of our men were killed is wishful thinking".

"From reports on the ongoing battle, we may have lost a few soldiers but it cannot be confirmed because usually, they may have been injured and are holed up somewhere for first aid treatment" the source said.

Contacted on the development, Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade confirmed the fighting but stated he cannot give casualty figures or full details as operatives on ground were yet to furnish him with the situation report. He said he would give details when the operation is concluded.
Online media reports had indicated that during the fight at least 70 soldiers were killed in a fierce battle between insurgents and Nigerian troops and pointed out that the fighting was for control of the towns of Bazza and Vimtim in Adamawa State, a claim denied by the military source.

The source further debunked claims that Boko Haram used helicopters to fight back noting that the Nigerian airforce helicopters may have been mistaken for that.
An eye witness told newsmen that the insurgents at a point on Sunday might re-grouped at the Federal Government College, (Technical) in Michika before they were dislodged and chased away.

According to him, "the army came in on Sallah day and since then fierce fighting has been on. But, as you can see the insurgents are moving away and the military are following them".

"The insurgents who were in their thousands came through Uba and attacked the Nigeria troops. "The gallant Nigerians soldiers were attacked from the rear by the militants but the military men engaged them in fierce battle over five hours ".

It will be recalled that on the 7th of September, 2014 the Boko Haram insurgents overran Michika, Bazza, Madagali and other border towns between Adamawa and Borno State during which the son of the former Nigeria President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, a Lieutenant Colonel, Olugbenga Obasanjo an Engineer in the Nigeria Army was shot and wounded.

During the takeover of Madagali and Michika, the insurgents also attempted to overran Vimtim, the hometown of the Chief of Defence staff, Air Chief Marshall Alex Badeh.

This stunning 27 year old transsexual woman (meaning she used to be a man) named Mayang Prasetyo from Indonesia was murdered by her 28 year old chef husband Marcus Peter Volke who then cooked her in their apartment in Brisbane, Australia. When police entered the home, they found some of Mayang's body spread out across their home while some of her remains were found boiling in chemicals on a stove.

After killing and cooking his wife who once advertised herself as a high-class transsexual escort, Marcus slit his own throat as he fled from police. See photo of the couple after the cut...

Neigbours of the couple called police after they perceived a terrible smell coming from the apartment on Saturday night October 4th. When police arrived there, Marcus fled the apartment and his body was later found in a wheelie bin close to his home.

Nobody knows why he killed his wife but according to his family, he had no history of mental illness or doesn't have a violent record.
