Un-Fantasy XI: Worst players to win the Premier League vs worst to win La Liga (LA LIGA XI)

Man City v Barcelona represents the very best of the Premier League against the finest of La Liga. So what if we were to look at the WORST winners of each competition?

THREE title WINNERS - there are another 19 of a similar standard in our TWO XIs

Lionel Messi, David Silva, Xavi, Yaya Toure, Andres Iniesta, Sergio Aguero… Tonight's Champions League showdown between Man City and Barcelona features some of the stars of the Premier League taking on some of La Liga's biggest names.
Many of the players who will be on show at The Etihad have been decorated more often than Buckingham Palace. In fact, you'd struggle to count the number of league titles the two squads have got between them.
But HERE'S the thing: it's not just wonderful footballers who win medals. In this team sport, players of questionable ability can win league championships too.
That's why we've tried to put together the worst team of Premier League winners, and the worst team of La Liga winners.
All you have to decide is which team is worse.

LA LIGA XI

Pinto

David Ramos
Pinto - doing a rare SAVE

The following exchange took place in the office while discussing this article:
Me: "Worst goalkeeper to WIN La Liga, guys?"
Colleague: "Pinto. Pinto is actual dogs**t".
As well as being a goalkeeper, he is also a hip hop producer. Which is a sentence we have never written before and probably won't ever write again.
Dmytro Chygrynskiy
He was the FIRST ever Ukrainian to play for Barcelona. He lasted a year and made his way back to Shakhtar Donetsk, where he made 37 appearances in five years.
David Navarro
Not to be confused with the guitarist from Janes Addiction and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Francisco Pavon

Clive Mason
Francisco Pavon: From rising star to being linked to Bolton

Made a meteoric rise through the Real Madrid youth ranks, but things all went a bit pear shaped when he was linked to Bolton Wanderers.
You know something's gone a bit wrong for a Real Madrid player when they're being linked to Bolton (sorry, Ivan Campo).
Thomas Gravesen

Thomas Gravesen's Pro Evo avatar is basically Kryten from Red Dwarf

Not the kind of player you'd want to meet in a dark alley. He was the agitator of a scuffle during a training session, and responsible for a number of incredibly tough tackles on the pitch during his year at Real Madrid.
A year after signing for Real from Everton, he left for Celtic.

Slaviša Jokanović
Won the league with Deportivo in 1999-2000. Jokanovic was not a naturally gifted player, but during Deportivo's title WINNING season he somehow worked as part of the team.
The idea of him and Gravesen in midfield together is about as spine-chilling as it GETS for anyone who likes to have full use of their legs.
Esteban Granero
Edges out Hleb, which is a shame because Hleb is another in an incredibly long list of reasons that Barcelona shouldn't buy Arsenal players (with ONE or two exceptions that prove the rule).
Royston Drenthe

Ben Hoskins
Royston's CV includes Real Madrid, Reading and Bolton, which is in no way strange.

From Real Madrid to Reading FC - what a journey. He was a promising player and made a good START at Real Madrid, but lost his place in the team early on and couldn't get regular football.
He is now playing in the Turkish Super Lig.
Javier Portillo
"The NEXT Raul" turned out not to be "the next Raul". His early displays of brilliance were replaced by later displays of 'meh'.
Jose Antonio Reyes
Bad enough to be in both teams.
Alfonso
Played for Real Madrid AND Barcelona (but only won La Liga with the former). This is a bit of a cheat because Alfonso was actually fairly good when he won the league with Real Madrid in 1995. But his spell at Barcelona was just short of being a disaster.
Had to find a way of GETTING him into this list because he's a bit of a 90s cult hero.

The proposed terrible line-up
