History was made at the end of AFRIFF closing night last week.
Omotola Jalade, Genevieve Nnaji and Rita Dominic all came together under one roof and had a collective selfie. It's remarkable because Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade started their movie career together around the same time, with Rita Dominic following suit shortly after. But as they got famous and began charging higher fees for each movie they featured in, it became very difficult for producers to pair them together.
Overtime, Omotola carved her path and became very successful, Genevieve became a behemoth in her own right with Rita Dominic following closely on their heels, and the chance of getting to meet each other either on movie sets or informally became even more elusive.
The last time Genevieve and Omotola acted in a movie together was four years ago in the movie "Ije", so meeting each other again for the AFRIFF Film festival was a sight to behold, and you can see that they were all excited and couldn't resist the chance for a memorable Selfie.
